Unity through Integrity, Equality, and Honor.

The Squires are made up of [KORT] relatives depending on age and maturity. Most are our children, however, some relatives choose not to don the [Squire] tag and rather choose the [REG] tag. They are part of our future.

[KORT] COAT OF ARMS!

Overview

The [KORT] community is made up of diverse persons. The Knights are made up of mostly mature members. All Knights are voted on and then initiated/dubbed into [KORT] . There is no time limit for this to occur. When we feel you are ready, you will be asked to join. All Knights have full and equal say in voting and on issues brought before the Table. Issues relating to banning, membership, changes in map rotation or format will be decided by all the active Knights. To keep the lines of communication open, all Knights are to have a valid e-mail address as well as Ventrilo installed. We will provide each Knight a personal email address (yourhandle@kortclan.com). We will hold meetings every Tuesday at 8 pm PST to discuss issues or concerns that may arise. We ask each Knight to make every effort to attend them. We will also be holding annual scrimmages between [KORT], [Squire], and [REG] to improve team performance and feelings of Brotherhood. This is similar to a jousting tournament in the Medieval Era. Thus the annual scrimmage is termed “THE JOUST”.

Honor

Each member of [KORT] is required to wear their tag honorably and uphold our Code of Arms while on the Server. One of our goals for this community is to keep communication between the Knights, Squires, and REG's open to ensure the overall success of the entire community. Going “incognito” is discouraged, but accepted. Admin should not be used unless you are donning the [KORT] tag, unless you are using RCON and operating via HLSW.

Integrity

If you will be absent from the community for an extended time, such as two months, we request that you e-mail or pm us to let us know. We understand that everyone is busy and gets busier at times due to work, school, and family matters. Please inform us so we do not remove you from the roster in error. If a Knight has not been heard from or seen on our Server in over 3 months, we will assume the individual is no longer interested in being an active participant of [KORT] and he/she will lose their privilege and be placed onto the inactive list. Should you need to resign from the community for any reason, please communicate this with us so we may wish you off. We ask each Knight make every effort to attend the [KORT] meetings. This encourages comradeire and brotherhood and promotes bonding time for the Knights. When playing on the server we expect each Knight to conduct them selves respectfully and not abuse their privileges.

Equality

All Knights are equal. Meaning, each Knight has Full Administration Privileges on the servers. Some have more administrative responsibility within the community, but all are equal. The community will only allow in members that are mature enough to "fairly" carry this power.

Trust

Trust is the glue that holds this community together. Each Knight has the ability to warn, kick, and ban any guest that behaves in a manner that is offensive. Administration abuse is not tolerated, and any Knight who abuses will lose all admin abilities. Depending upon the severity of the infraction, the Knight may be expunged from the clan. Each Knight has an equal say in which maps we rotate, who should be banned, what type of activities we create (fun night, etc).

Growth

Each Knight has part ownership of the community, and therefore is required to share in the cost of the community. We only ask that each Knight contribute $10.00/month. This is a voted on fee which goes towards the maintenance of the servers, the band width rental, and the web site. [KORT] purchased a dual Opteron server and currently has it located in Los Angeles CA. The box can support multiple game servers depending upon the communities desires. Currently, one of our founders [KORT] IRON makes sure the bills are paid in a timely manner. If he takes a leave of absence then [KORT] IRON will appoint a counsel of Knights to handle fees and any issues that are unable to be resolved. This is to ensure the continued growth of the community and to make sure the founders' vision for the community does not change.

Disruption

Removing members will be handled delicately and will be put to a clan vote. The Founder/Council will also have the final say in matters where the members' votes are divided. In other words, if half vote for someone banned and half vote against it, the Founder/Council will take all things into consideration and make the decision. The Council will consist of 3-5 members.

Servers

The Camelot Server will be set up so members of the community and guests may enjoy themselves in an atmosphere free of juvenile type of play. This server caters to mature and respectful adult play. Mission objectives and playing the game more seriously is expected here. The opposite is true of the Lyonesse Server. It will be set up so members of the community and guests can enjoy a more juvenile and laid back type of play. Many days/nights this server will host “fun” maps and allow many things which would be considered inappropriate for the Camelot Server. Any guest that disrespects the Knights or other guests, or uses offensive language will be warned and/or booted. If a Knight strongly suspects a guest of hacking, then the guest will be banned. Offensive handles will also be treated accordingly. What we deem offensive includes but is not limited to: racial slurs, sexist remarks, foul language, or anything else a Knight may deem to be inappropriate. To ensure the common goal is reached, our Server will be policed by community members who will have full administration privileges. Once a guest is banned there is rarely any unbanning. The banned person will stay banned whether they purchase another STEAM ID or not. This is a policy change. Also, we will have installed anti-cursing software and run VAC. Guests who are not caught by our software or wear an offensive handle in the server will be warned, kicked, and or banned depending on the offense. Persistent disrespectful attitudes after being kicked will result in being banned from the entire community. Guests should understand that we do not tolerate juvenile type of play on Camelot and once banned, we do not unban persons who are caught by the software or banned by the members. It is of course on a case by case basis but the person who was banned should consider what they did to be very offensive.

Services

Our web site will reflect our views. It will include a news board, our server info and Code of Arms, the clan roster, a message board for guests, a private message board for Knights, Squires, and [REGs], and links for our guests. Guests, especially new guests, should be encouraged to visit our forums and become active so that we may get to know you outside the servers. Our forums are policed just as our servers are, so keep it “CLEAN”.

Long Live KORT!
